Brent L. Klinger, DMD
Dr. Brent J. Klinger attended the University of South Carolina and is a 1972 graduate of the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Following graduation he joined the U.S. Army, where he began a 23 year career, retiring as a Colonel. During his military career he served in Hawaii, Korea, Germany and the Republic of Panama. He received his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the William Beaumon Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas from 1976-1979, where he was the Chief resident for two years. Following his three years in the Republic of Panama as Chief of Oral Surgery for the U.S. Southern Command, he left active duty to establish a private practice in Orangeburg in 1982. He remained in the U.S. Army Reserve until his retirement in 1995.
Dr. Klinger is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a past President of the South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association and the Edisto Dental Society. As a member of the active medical staff at the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg and Calhoun counties, he served as Chief of Staff in 1996 and has served on the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Klinger and his wife, Toni, raised their two daughters in Orangeburg since 1982. They have two grandchildren living in St. Augustine, Florida.
